Continuing its commitment to supporting businesses on their green transformation journey, on the morning of July 3, 2026, CGS Vietnam participated in the workshop “Emission Reduction: Opportunities and Challenges for Businesses”, organized by VietinBank at the 23rd Floor Auditorium, VietinBank Tower, 93–95 Ham Nghi Street, Sai Gon Ward, Ho Chi Minh City.
The event brought together representatives from businesses across Southern Vietnam, along with experts in ESG, greenhouse gas (GHG) inventory, sustainable finance, and green transformation to discuss the latest requirements in emissions management and practical solutions to help businesses adapt to the evolving regulatory landscape.
Updates on New Greenhouse Gas Inventory Requirements
At the workshop, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Thai, CEO of EGP Vietnam, delivered a presentation titled “New Requirements for Greenhouse Gas Inventory – What Should Businesses Pay Attention To”, focusing on the latest GHG inventory regulations, ESG data transparency requirements, and their implications for Vietnamese businesses’ manufacturing and operational activities.
A key takeaway from the session was that businesses should proactively establish reliable emissions data systems and robust ESG governance frameworks today to meet compliance requirements while strengthening their competitiveness in global supply chains.
ESG and Sustainable Finance: Driving Green Transformation
In addition to the technical discussions, VietinBank introduced its Sustainability-Linked Loan (SLL) Program, creating new opportunities for businesses to access financing tied to sustainability performance targets.
