On the morning of April 2, 2025, the State Securities Commission of Vietnam (SSC), in collaboration with the International Finance Corporation (IFC) and with the support of the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO), held the Launching Ceremony of the Corporate Governance Manual 2025 in Hanoi. The manual has been updated and reissued with knowledge, experience, and international corporate governance practices, marking an important step forward in shaping and enhancing corporate governance quality in Vietnam.
Launch Event of Corporate Governance Manual 2025: A New Milestone for Corporate Governance
This event not only attracted the attention of regulators and economic experts but was also regarded as a guiding compass for businesses amid today’s fiercely competitive and ever-changing market landscape. During the ceremony, senior leaders, industry experts, and leading enterprises shared their perspectives on the importance of an effective governance system through engaging discussions.
Corporate Governance Manual 2025
First launched in 2010, the Corporate Governance Manual has comprehensively compiled and analyzed Vietnam’s current legal regulations on corporate governance, along with international standards and practices, to support shareholders, businesses, and the government in monitoring and implementing good governance standards.
After nearly 15 years of evolution – through the 2019 Securities Law, the 2020 Enterprise Law, and most recently the 2023 G20/OECD Principles of Corporate Governance – the manual has now been released in its second edition. The 2025 version, enriched with international knowledge, experience, and best corporate governance practices, contextualized to Vietnam, will serve as a valuable tool supporting business leaders on their governance journey toward sustainable business development.
