The OECD Corporate Governance Factbook provides a comprehensive overview of trends and developments in the institutional, legal, and regulatory frameworks governing the corporate governance of listed companies across 49 jurisdictions worldwide.
Published by the OECD every two years, the Factbook serves as an important reference that complements the G20/OECD Principles of Corporate Governance. It also supports policymakers in assessing and strengthening their corporate governance frameworks in line with international good practices.
The 2023 edition highlights key updates reflected in the G20/OECD Principles of Corporate Governance (2023), including corporate sustainability governance, the use of digital tools for shareholder meetings, and governance frameworks for corporate groups. In addition, the publication reflects evolving corporate governance practices and rising stakeholder expectations on a range of important topics, such as board diversity, the characteristics of listed companies, and trends in ownership concentration.
